Ignacio Garcia’s passion for construction began at a young age. As an entrepreneur, he started his career as a carpenter, gaining hands-on experience in the field. Leveraging his architectural background and skills as a contractor, Ignacio founded KGI Construction.

For over two decades, Ignacio has successfully guided numerous multifamily construction projects from inception to completion. With an eye for design and market trends, he works closely with clients from the pre-development phase to bring their visions to life. Ignacio understands the importance of accurate proformas and works with his team to produce reliable construction cost estimates that adapt to changing market conditions in real-time.

In addition to his expertise in project management, Ignacio has a strong background in real estate development. He assists clients throughout the entitlement and pre-development process, from acquiring land to obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

Ignacio adds tremendous value at every step of the building process. Through his leadership and extensive industry knowledge gained from years of experience in both the field and office, he seamlessly bridges the gap between design and execution to deliver high-quality, on-time projects. Vice President

Kiran has over 10 years of experience managing business finances and accounts. Her attention to detail and analytical skills have allowed her to successfully oversee accounting projects at a high level for various companies. As the mother of four children, Kiran’s focus on family values and culture is felt throughout her work. She strives to bring a collaborative and supportive environment to each team she works with.

Kiran’s extensive experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis adds tremendous value to the companies she partners with. Her dedication to ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with tax regulations is extremely beneficial. Kiran has expertise in financial processes like accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and expense management.

Director of Operations

As the senior member of our talented construction management team, Kevin offers a career of excellence and experience in performing and managing the complex preconstruction process, municipal entitlements, organizational administration, and construction management activities. During his career Kevin has managed over $300,000,000 in diverse commercial and industrial projects and real estate developments.

Many of our clients find the preconstruction process most challenging, from the iterative design and construction budgeting efforts, the related financial analysis, the state and municipal entitlement process, and working with the various project stakeholders – from legal to financing to tenants. Kevin brings unparalleled expertise in leading our clients through this process, always understanding the client’s unique requirements that are incumbent in every real estate development project.

Upon the successful completion of the preconstruction and entitlement process, Kevin leads our professional experienced team of construction supervisors and project managers in the complicated and challenging process of interfacing with the project stakeholders and the construction team of suppliers, subcontractors, and AHJs (authorities having jurisdiction) to ensure a successful project completion.

Vice President of Business Development

Miguel Castro Jr. brings a wealth of diverse expertise to his role as Vice President of Business Development at KGI Construction Group. A graduate of UW-Milwaukee’s Master of Architecture Program, the Industrial Design Program at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and the LISC Milwaukee Associates in Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) Program, Miguel has developed a deep understanding of design, architecture, and community-centered development.

Throughout his career, Miguel has worked across public and private sectors, fostering relationships that drive meaningful, impactful projects. His strategic vision, combined with his meticulous attention to detail, enables him to lead complex development efforts from concept to completion. As a United States Marine Corps combat veteran, Miguel applies his strong work ethic, leadership skills, and dedication to teamwork to every project, ensuring KGI continues to deliver top-tier, sustainable solutions.

Miguel’s background in industrial design and architecture allows him to approach development with a creative and holistic mindset, bringing innovative solutions to housing and community infrastructure. Project Manager

With over 5 years of experience in the construction industry, Jose Mendoza brings a unique skill set to any project. Holding a civil engineering degree, Jose has the technical expertise to interpret geotech soil reports and develop comprehensive plans to address any issues. His attention to detail is unmatched in ensuring the highest quality service for all clients.

Jose is renowned for his meticulous organization and planning. As a result, he is able to execute even the most complex projects with extreme efficiency. Through clear communication and meticulous record-keeping, Jose ensures smooth collaboration between all teams and stakeholders.

Jose’s collaborative leadership style and problem-solving abilities allow him to successfully manage all phases of development, from initial planning through final inspection.

Project Manager

Greg has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, working on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. He began his career working on small residential homes and additions, learning the importance of craftsmanship, quality workmanship, and attention to detail from the ground up.

Greg later transitioned to taking on larger commercial projects, managing multi-million dollar construction of office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities. Through these experiences, Greg honed his leadership and project management skills, developing a proven track record for delivering complex projects on time and on budget.

At KGI, Greg brings his wealth of hands-on experience to benefit our construction projects. Whether advising on technical building elements or managing client expectations and timelines, Greg’s expertise adds tremendous value throughout all phases of development.
